Consisting of <strong>Jean-Yves Tol\u00e0<\/strong> (ex-Passion Fodder\/Lilium), <strong>Pascal Humbert<\/strong> (Passion Fodder\/Lilium\/D\u00e9troit) and <strong>David Eugene Edwards<\/strong>, who also wrote most of the songs for the band and is also a continuing member of <strong>Glitterhouse Records<\/strong> as part of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/glitterhouse.com\/en\/project\/wovenhand-2\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/glitterhouse.com\/project\/wovenhand-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Wovenhand<\/a><\/strong> project, they recorded two studio albums for A&amp;M Records in the 90s that were celebrated by fans and press alike.   In 2000, the band moved to <strong>Glitterhouse Records<\/strong> to release their landmark <strong>Secret South<\/strong>.The tour for the album became a real triumph. As a result, a live album was released under the title <strong>Live, March 2001<\/strong>. Anyone who has ever seen the band live knows the magic they developed. <strong>16 Horsepower<\/strong> were not just any band. Three years after the release of <strong>Secret South<\/strong>, they recorded probably their darkest and most folk-influenced chapter: <strong>Folklore<\/strong> is perceived as the band&#8217;s most intense and best album, evoking associations of <em>&#8220;banjo and campfire, melancholy and Marlboro country&#8221;<\/em> in listeners. It was also the last studio record of their career, as <strong>16 Horsepower<\/strong> announced their breakup in 2005.
