We are very happy to announce that the still “most bad-tempered rock band this country has to offer at the moment” (DIE ZEIT) will release their new album FAKE on April 20th via Glitterhouse Records.

FAKE: was created in rehearsal rooms, studios and on theater stages in Stuttgart, Leipzig and Berlin. Together with producer Ralv Milberg and his mobile studio including equipment, DIE NERVEN crossed the Alps twice in September 2017 to record their fourth studio album in Tuscany within only two weeks (!). Spread over 4 rooms, FAKE was recorded exclusively live, overdubs and percussion followed in Leipzig, for the vocals DIE NERVEN again found themselves in Stuttgart.

“By far, no album has demanded as much from us as this one, and we can’t wait to unleash it on you,” the band reflects on FAKE, saying they came close to breaking up several times due to the exhausting creation process. Almost three years with countless concerts, a theater work and various songwriting sessions lay between the recordings of OUT and FAKE. Even as the tracks were being written, DIE NERVEN placed more emphasis than ever on diversity; each of the twelve songs works both in the album context and on its own. FAKE is a monolith of an album, a statement, the force.

NIEMALS: “Where will you go when you’ve been everywhere? … never find yourself, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER.” February 16 will see the release of NIEMALS, the first official single from FAKE.

BIO: Founded in 2010 in Esslingen as a noisy lo-fi duo, DIE NERVEN, after various singles, EPs and download albums in 2012 Fluidum, release their first physical album on Fin Du Monde/This Charming Man Records. 2014 saw the release of Fun, the unanimously acclaimed follow-up – and described by Jan Wigger of Spiegel Online as “one of the most important and best German-language records of this decade.” Julian Knoth, Kevin Kuhn and Max Rieger are “perhaps the best German trio since Trio” knows the Wiener Standard. They played festivals like Roskilde (DK), Melt!, Appletree-Garden, Sziget (HUN) and Eurosonic (NL), plus an Israel tour, and were the first German-language band to release on the style-defining US label Amphetamine Reptile Records. Christian Ihle (taz) calls the band “best live band in the country”!In October 2015 DIE NERVEN released their third album OUT on Glitterhouse Recordswent on extensive tour through Europe and released their first live record Live in Europe in June 2017.

Now, finally, their new album FAKE is coming on April 20 via Glitterhouse Records. They say it’s their best yet. That’s right.

From April 19 the tour follows, on which Julian Knoth (vocals, bass), Kevin Kuhn (drums) and Max Rieger (vocals, guitar) aka DIE NERVEN play 11 concerts in 4 countries in 11 days, presented by Musikexpress, laut.de, ByteFM, Fragmente Deutschland and the Immergut Festival.
