Story
The Australian-born band, formed in 2008 by singer-guitarist Cash Savage, includes guitarists Joe White and Dougal Shaw, fiddler Kat Mear, drummer Rene Mancuso, keyboardist Roshan Khozouei and bassist Nick Finch. Celebrated as an icon of the music and queer community in her hometown of Melbourne, Cash Savage, criticizes the patriarchy in her lyrics, shares her negative experiences as part of the LGBTQ community, and combines these lyrics with calm tones in which “a certain amount of wildness is nevertheless always present.” This wildness is not only evident in her albums One of Us(2016) or Good Citizens (2018), but also and especially in her live performances, where she spreads her very own version of rock’n’roll. Her 2023 album So This is Love is her first album in collaboration with Glitterhouse Records.
