Ton Steine Scherben are perhaps THE one German rock band whose songs have hardly lost any of their topicality even after more than 50 years.

Kai & Funky from TON STEINE SCHERBEN feat. Birte Volta are the Scherben and at the same time a bow to a great past. The project makes you feel how modern the music of the Scherben is. Kai & Funky are two founding members of Scherben, namely Kai Sichtermann (bass, since 1970) and drummer Funky K. Götzner (since 1974, now cajón, percussion). They have been playing together with Birte Volta since 2023. She is a first-class German singer-songwriter, known for her sensitive guitar pop and the metamorphosis of vulnerability, rock, punk and folk. A female voice, a globetrotter, an artist of life and music.

Their live albums make you feel the spirit of life. Kai & Funky feel the spirit of the times, in fact they are legends themselves. Birte Volta complements poetry and the present day.
