‘Primitive Energetics’ is the new album by Joe Volk + Naiare, released on April 24, 2020 in collaboration with Glitterhouse Records. After the tour for his last album ‘Happenings and Killings’ (2016), on which Thys Bucher (drums) and Jürg Schmidhauser (bass), accompanied Joe Volk as a live band, the three exceptional musicians immediately started composing new songs. They were supported by the psychedelic noise guitarist Thomas Fahrni.

Besides the songs that Joe Volk and his band Naiare wrote,Primitive Energeticsalso includes tracks, that are influenced by acoustic and electronic elements as well as the cooperation with artists such as Jim Barr (Portishead), Urs Heer (Noijzu), Mark Ophidian (US), Mario Batkovic (Invada), Thomas Martin Nutt (Japan), Charles Wagner (Young Blood Brass Band), Julian Sartorius (CH) Matt Williams (BEAK),>Thomas Schmidiger (CH) and Ben Salisbury (UK).
